West Region holds 25% of the Romanian Exporters' Top

The newspaper "Ziarul Financiar" from 09.03.2011 prepared an article called "Top 100 Romanian largest exporters: only seven companies with Romanian capital", according to data offered by the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. According to this top, the first 100 exporters from the local market brought last year 52% of Romania's total exports, in value of 19 mld.Euro. The top is dominated by the auto parts manufacturers.

Top five Romanian largest exporters in 2010 are:
1. Automobile Dacia
2. Nokia
3. Rompetrol Refining
4. ArcelorMittal Galati
5. OMV Petrom

25% of the top 100 largest Romanian exporters are from West Region (Arad, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara, Timis Counties), being present mainly in the automotive sector. The remaining activity sectors where we can meet these top companies are: clothing, wholesale of computers and manufacture of cooling and ventilation equipment.

Among the 25% from West Region top exporters are: HONEYWELL TECHNOLOGIES, FLEXTRONICS MANUFACTURING, CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS, LISA DRAEXLMAIER, AUTOLIV, TAKATA-PETRI, TRW AUTOMOTIVESAFETY SYSTEMS, SEWS, CONTINENTAL AUTOMOTIVE, CONTITECH, HELLA, COFICAB, YAZAKI COMPONENT TECHNOLOGY, etc.
