Ecological projects with 50% money from the European Union

SME's can receive money for green business, recycling and sustainable construction. Projects that have a component of innovation in ecology, environmental protection can receive grants of up to 50% through the "Eco Innovation" Program.

Money can be used for equipment and infrastructure as well as for materials, processes, techniques and methods related to innovation activities.

The program budget in 2012 is 34.8 million Euro. Dedicated especially for SME's, it will finance around 50 projects. SME's are businesses with fewer than 250 employees and turnover under 50 million Euro.

Eco Innovation Program focuses on five priority fields: recycling, water, sustainable building materials, green business, food and drink sector.

The call for projects is published at http://ec.europa.eu/environment/eco-innovation. It includes a set of criteria to be complied in order to access the funding.

Submission of projects can be made ​​until September 6 2012 and by the end of March 2013 the submitted projects will receive their evaluation.
