Companies that will employ school and university students during the holiday can receive subsidies of 250 lei / month

According to no. 72/2007  Law, companies that employ school and university students with employment contracts during the summer holidays will receive 250 lei per month for every young person employed.

In 2011, most of the young people were employed in companies from Maramures (51), Harghita (35), Neamt (23), Sibiu (18), Timis (18) and Satu Mare (15), according to the data provided by the Nationa  Agency of Employment. Most of them (over 750 youth) were from urban areas.

To benefit from these facilities, the employers must conclude the agreements with the local employment agencies within 30 days from date of employment. According to the Minister of Education, the summer vacation this year runs from June 23 to September 9, 2012.

The amount of 250 lei is half of the reference social indicator of unemployment insurance.
