Timisoara City Hall will spend two million euros to build the Center for IT & C

The Mayor of Timisoara, Mr. Gheorghe Ciuhandu, the Deputy mayor, Adrian Orza, together with His Excellency Mr. Martin Harris, the United Kingdom Ambassador in Romania, have laid the foundation stone of the headquarters for the Regional Infrastructure Development and Business Innovation in Advanced Technology sector. The center, to be built in Circumvalaţiunii area, will be a business support structure in high-tech, the project resulting from discussions with experts from Nottingham.

The project, whose beneficiary is the City Hall, is largely financed from European funds, namely 2.455 460 Euro while and from the local budget there will be allocated the sum of 1.948 950 Euro. The new office building will have a surface of 6311.75 square meters and the usable surface area of 5489.86 square meters. The center is designed  for IT & C companies that are in consolidation and incubation stage. The works at the center will start in May 2012 and are planned to be completed in June 2013.
