Urban Area Plan for "Pasul Valcan"

The local councilors from Vulcan approved the Urban Area Plan for "Pasul Valcan" resort. For its implementation, there is only needed the environmental agreement.

The Urban Area Plan approved by the local officials states: the area planning, the construction of houses, hotels and restaurants. In addition, there will be constructed other cable lifts and slopes that will make the connection with Straja resort.

The first step in this project was the opening of the gondola lift that connects the mountain resort and Vulcan city, an investment amounting to about 33 million lei, VAT excluded.

With this project other problems will be solved: of sewage, water supply, electricity and gas. There will be brought snow cannons, to compensate for the lack of natural snow when necessary.

The"Pasul Valcan" resort is at an altitude of 1,300 meters and is located seven kilometers from the city of Vulcan.
