Banat projects in alternative energy become alive

Three communes - Cornea, Domasnea and Mehadia - joined together last week to host a wind park. The park will include 40 wind turbines and will be located on the administrative territory of Mehadia, but will serve the energy needs of all three communes and it can even deliver electricity to the national system.

The investment will be made by a private firm in the interval May 2012 and the middle of next year. Its impact on the economy of the host commune will be materialized by creating new jobs, but mainly through a contribution to the local budget from leasing land.

If wind energy projects are still in early stages, in terms of renewable energy another resource - hydroelectricity - began to move better in Banat area.
