Takata Petri moved to Arad the production of a steering wheels factory from Poland

In Arad plant Takata Petri will produce steering wheels for companies in Central and Eastern Europe, the most important customers being Mercedes and Honda.

The auto parts manufacturer Takata Petri moved to Arad the production of steering wheels for Mercedes and Honda following the closure at the end of August the factory from Walbryzych, Poland, which had nearly 600 employees.

Over the past four years the local business of Takata Petri had a steadily growth rhythm, a double-digit growth, so the company's turnover reached 269 million Eur at the end of last year. According to the representatives of Takata, the decision to move the production from Poland to Romania was taken in a restructuring program of the global production activities.
