The proposals of foreign investors

06/10/2009

Foreign investors proposed President Traian Băsescu the creation of an Economic Advisory Council, using the American model and the establisment of a single counter for foreign companies.

American Chamber of Commerce in Romania (AmCham Romania), British- Romanian Chamber of Commerce (BRCC), Foreign Investors Council (FIC) and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Romanian-German (CCIRG), representing over 1,100 companies on the local market, have asked local authorities concrete actions of economic recovery at a forum attended by President Traian Băsescu.

Sorin Mindrutescu, the president of AmCham Romania, recommended President Traian Băsescu the creation of an Economic Advisory Council, apolitical and non-executive, composed of businessmen, representatives of banks, economists, analysts and even representatives of the media, as the structure in USA.

But for the moment, President Traian Băsescu refused this proposal.
