The Program for development of incubators has been launched

The Agency for Implementation of Projects and Programs for SMEs has launched the Procedure for Implementation of Multi-Annual National Program for the Period 2002-2012 for the establishment and development of technology and business incubators.

The program's overall objective is the development of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in Romania, through the establishment of new business incubators and by improving the efficiency of existing business incubators.

The beneficiaries of this program are potential entrepreneurs who wish to establish a company in accordance with national legislation or already established companies, with more than 2 years of activity by the date of filing for inclusion in the incubator, which, on request, meet all conditions for a company to be considered a SME, conditions established by Law nr.346/2004.

The sum for the rehabilitation program for each location for business incubation is maximum 500,000 lei for new incubators and maximum 200,000 lei for existent incubators approved to enter the process of modernization and / or expansion.

The beneficiaries are offered office spaces, production facilities, according to the availability within the business incubator, rented in advantageous terms, administrative services provided by the incubator manager, assistance and expert advice given on money provided by the incubator manager and non-reimbursable financial allowances.
