Automotivest Association organized the Training Session on the Standards of Quality in Machine Building Industry and the General Assembly Meeting

Wednesday, 15th of July 2009, from 11:00 o'clock, took place the General Assembly of the AutomotiVest Association. The event was held in the Council Room of the West Regional Development Agency.

The General Assembly was attended by the founders of the Association and representatives of companies who have expressed their interest and intention to join the network.

Topics that have been submitted to the General Assembly of the Automotivest Association are: the activity report of the Association for the period January-June 2009, the modification approval of the Constitutive Act and of the Status of the Automotivest Association to change the names "Timisoara Cityhall" and "Arad Cityhall " into "Timişoara Municipality" and "Arad Municipality".

, AutomotiVEST Association has organized the training session regarding the New Welding Technologies used in the Machine Building Industry. The session was held at the NATIONAL R&d INSTITUTE FOR WELDING AND MATERIAL TESTING (IWMT).

The session was supported by Mr. eng. Horia Daşcău, Chief Department Industrial Services in the IWMT and was addressed to staff responsible for the quality assurance from the companies active in the automotive field.

The seminar covered topics such as:

  • Quality inspection of materials and welded joints before, during and after welding.
  • Levels of imperfection acceptance (EN ISO 5817).
  • Main types of imperfections (ISO 6520).
  • Presentation of the main NDT techniques and of the needs of personnel certifications (levels needed according to EN 473).

The training session on New Technologies used in the New Welding Technologies used in the Machine Building Industry was organized within the project "Promoting economic growth in the border area between Romania and Serbia by strengthening and expanding in a border direction, structures for the cluster type of machine building industry, and in species, for automotive subsector" project elaborated in Phare CBC 2004 - 2006 Romania-Serbia Program. The project's objective is the support for a sustainable development of the border area between Romania and Serbia through activities aiming at the improvement of the institutional support framework for the SMEs from the machine building industry and automotive subsector which are active in the project's impact area.
