The visit of ERNACT network representatives in West Region, Romania and Banat Region, Serbia
During May 19-20, 2014, the representatives of the European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology (ERNACT) visited West Region, Romania and Banat region, Serbia.
During the visit discussions were held on topics such as: digital priorities of the West Region, Romania in the context of the 'smart specialization' strategy, updating regional ICT cluster (The Regional Cluster for Information Technology and Communications - West Region) and B2B Cooperation (Business-to-Business cooperation), cooperation opportunities in Atlantic Canada and the Republic of Moldavia, the project of Tehimpuls Association funded by Innovation Norway, ERNACT project ideas.
West Region is member of the European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology - ERNACT starting January 2012 and Banat region from Serbia, starting April 2014.
ERNACT - European Regions Network for the Application of Communications Technology is an European network founded in 1990 formed of local and regional authorities in 8 European regions from The Czech Republic, Ireland, Romania, Spain, Sweden, and Republic of Serbia.
The Network aims to promote the economy based on knowledge and the information society in the partner regions, especially by developing and implementing cross-border, inter-regional and transnational projects for helping to define regional development models based on ICT.
