The launching event of the project BanaTour - „Revival of the cross-border tourism through innovative services for the benefit of local communities”, April 11th, 2013, Timisoara

Tehimpuls Association - Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer along with the Regional Development Agency, West Region, Romania are pleased to announce the launching event of the project BanaTour „Revival of the cross-border tourism through innovative services for the benefit of local communities", which will take place on April 11th in the Council room of West Regional Development Agency.

In October 2012, Tehimpuls Association started the project BanaTour - „Revival of the cross-border tourism through innovative services for the benefit of local communities", funded by the Romania-Serbia Cross-Border Cooperation Program, 2007-2013.


The project objective is to achieve a strategic, effective and of impact promotion, of the cross-border supply and tourism potential. The project will be implemented during a period of 18 months, in partnership with the Agency for Socio-Economic Development, Banat Zrenjanin.


Entrepreneurs in the tourism industry, public institutions active in the tourism sector, NGOs operating in tourism, national and international tourists will have after completion of the project, access to a portal that will include a customized package of innovative tools and services for the benefit of local communities.

Tehimpuls Association - The Regional Center of Innovation and Technology Transfer was established in 2006 with the mission to increase regional economic competitiveness by facilitating cooperation between business, universities and research centers.


The Regional Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer addresses both, the economic environment by providing support services for the implementation of innovative solutions in businesses, and the academic environment by providing marketing research results and technology transfer intermediaries.

West Regional Development Agency is implementing the regional development policy in Romania, for almost 15 years, since the creation of the eight regions. During this period, West RDA managed Phare Economic and Social Cohesion Programs, national funding programs, currently being the Intermediary Body for the Regional Operational Programme 2007-2013.

West RDA portfolio includes the development of regional policy, the attraction of foreign direct investment, project development, management of clusters in the automotive sector and information and communication technology, internationalization and, not least, innovation. In this regard, West RDA developed during 2002 - 2004, with fund from the European Union, the first Regional Innovation Strategy in Romania, ensuring continuous monitoring, regular updating and implementation of pilot projects.
