The first Regional Advisory Group in sustainable construction

The first Regional Advisory Group in sustainable construction will be founded in West Region Romania

West Regional Development Agency (RDA West) will hold in the meeting room of the Agency, on October 27^th, 2010, from 11.00 o'clock, the first meeting of the Regional Advisory Group in the field of sustainable construction.

The Regional Advisory Group in the field of sustainable construction will be in the form of an informal structure and will bring together government representatives, research centers and specialized university representatives and construction companies, architecture and design in West Region.

The objective of setting up a regional advisory group is to introduce on the public agenda sustainability in construction, to promote eco-innovation, eco-design and sustainable construction among relevant regional actors, to facilitate information and knowledge (know how) exchange and the development of projects in partnership in the field of sustainable construction in West Region. In this regard, until the completion of the project, sustainable development component will be included in regional planning and programming, together with a regional portfolio of projects in this field.

The meeting will be held within FRESH International Project "Promoting sustainable economic development models at regional level", financed over a period of two years (2010 - 2012) by the European Union through the Interreg IV C Program and implemented by West RDA in partnership with other 11 partner organizations from six European countries (Finland, Ireland, Italy, Great Britain, Poland and Romania). RDA West Romania is the only Romanian institution in the project.
