The Counselors have decided: TelPark parking regulations will be changed in Timisoara

The draft resolution on amending and supplementing Regulation of the TelPark system of car parking was approved Tuesday in Timisoara Local Council with some amendments.

Among other things there were decided: the increase of price of the parking subscriptions, limiting parking to two hours in the food markets. Another novelty is that TelPark will be paid also on Saturday between the hours 8-13 for the parking lots around the markets.

The Public Domain Administration will determine with the approval of the Traffic Commission the streets in the central area where the parking period will be no longer than two hours.

According to the director of PDA (Public Domain Administration), 32 streets from Cetate area will be approved by the Local Council. The subscriptions will not be available on that area, for that there will be established special prices.

Also, the subscriptions will be of several types and there will be established new ways of calculation, starting from a basic hourly rate.

At the same time, in the perimeter of the parking system it will be forbidden the parking of vehicles with a maximum allowable weight over 3.5 tons. PDA will not issue tickets or subscriptions for these vehicles.
