The Turkish company, Ekol Logistics, a provider of integrated logistic services, entered the Romanian market and plans to invest 10 million euro in the next five years. Ekol introduced an intermodal transport route from Mannheim to Arad (on railway) and Arad - Istambul (on road). The route will be operational this month.

In Romania, Ekol has a warehouse of 6000 sqm and offers services of transportation, storage (warehousing), collecting, packaging and complete distribution.

The Turkish company consolidated its investments in Europe by opening consecutively, in 2011 two representations, Ekol Italy and Ekol Romania. On the European market, the company is present in Germany since 1996. Ekol has in Turkey and Europe 400.000 sqm of warehouses, a flet of 1.900 vehicles and over 3.300 employees.

The presence of Ekol in Romania is very important because as a member of the European Union, Romania is at the intersection of major logistical routes.
