DURA Automotive factory doubles its production area

Romania DURA Automotive opened the second mode of production of the factory in Giarmata Vii.

By building a new hall, the total area of the factory expanded to 10.900 sqm of which 9.600 sqm are used for production, the rest being allocated for offices.

This extension is required for the development of the business environment for the Renault and Brose customers, who increased their orders by 50% and 20 %. In addition, it was one of the necessary steps to start working with a new client, Kiekert, following that production to begin in November. The benefits of the new space are numerous. There will be created 140 new jobs. Now the factory has a bigger and better equipped laboratory and a department that produces stations and work equipment. In addition, a workshop of prototypes was built as a response to the customer's requirements and which also increases the competitiveness. Also the working conditions were improved by rearranging the locker rooms and by expanding the canteen.

At the inauguration, the representatives of DURA Automotive Timisoara have received the Q1 Certificate. This certificate represents a standard of excellence in quality and was given by Ford.
