Millions of euro brought by wind
The President of Caras-Severin County Council, the Prefect and the Mayors from several localities attended two days ago the inauguration of the Western Parks, an investment of the French Group, Filasa.
The French Group Filasa started its activity in Romania in 2008 by financing and developing wind farms. Its projects are dedicated to the production of electricity from renewable sources.
In Caras-Severin County, Filasa is currently developing 14 projects consisting of construction and operation of capacities for power generation from renewable sources - wind farms with a combined installed power of about 750 MW.
The projects were made in association with the local communities from Berzasca, Ciuchici (two projects), Cornereva (three projects), Iablanita (two projects), Lapusnicel (two projects), Mehadica, Racasdia, Slatina Timis and Teregova.
The investments made so far to develop those 14 energy projects amounts to 4.7 million euro. The total estimated investment for the production of 750 W is about 1.3 billion euro.
