Timisoara, scanned by the Google Earth cars

At the end of last year, Timisoara was included in the list of localities covered by the Street View application. The service offered by Google presents panoramic images taken at the street level. This summer a car from Google passed through the streets of Timisoara and recorded images of the city.

In December, last year, Google Earth included Romania on the list of countries where panoramic photos of the streets can be seen. Timisoara, Bucharest, Brasov, Oradea, Cluj, Sibiu and Constanta have been included in the Street View application. Romania was the 27^thcoutry where the service was launched, initially it covered about 6000 kilometers in Romania.

The new images will be available after it will be processed. Also, concerning personal data protection, the pedestrians' faces and the number plates of the cars must be protected.
