Romania is more attractive than Hungary when it comes to investment funds

According to the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association study, in 2009, Romania attracted 221 million euros worth of investments from private equity funds, ranking third in Central and Eastern Europe, in front of Hungary and Bulgaria. According to the EVCA study, in 2009, private equity funds invested 2,5 billion euros in Central and Eastern Europe, a similar level to that of 2008. Czech Republic was rated number 1 with 1.4 billion Euros in attracted investments, followed by Poland with 268 mil. Euros and România with 221 mil. Euro.
Last year, the private equity funds's investments on the local markets decreased by 23.5% , a lot smaller depreciation compared to Poland and Hugary, where investment volumes decreased by more than 50%.
