Elba Timisoara company produces LED traffic lights for the Russian market

The lighting manufacturer "Elba" Timisoara company, which produces the automotive headlights for Dacia car manufacturing company - Logan models, announced an investment program of 8-9 MEuro in 2010, the same as in 2009, for the completion of the new plant and to modernize the production lines.

The automotive components manufacturer started in 2009 the building of a new factory on an industrial platform in Timisoara in order to move the factory from Timisoara center. By the end of 2010 the car components production will be relocated and will be followed by the other production unit for industrial and public lighting.

In 2009 some of the Elba investments were directed towards the development of products that incorporate LED technology, that replaces the conventional light bulbs and with a reliability of up to 2.5 times higher, having lower energy consumption and maintenance costs than the conventional technology.

On the other hand, the company has signed a contract in Arad and it won a tender in Ramnicu Valcea city. "Elba" company produces also traffic semaphore lights with LED technology, which will be exported to Russia, Moscow city.
