Hilton Hotel in Timisoara

Former "International" Hotel located on Loga Bvd. Timisoara, known as "Ceausescu's Villa", lies unused and is in decay for several years. Timis County Council one of the owners of this building,  joined a partnership in the year 2003 having the purpose the building rehabilitation, but no benefits were drawn from this association. At the meeting on June 28, 2010, the Timis County councilors will study a resolution draft that once approved, could transform the abandoned villa in a 6 floor "Hilton" Hotel.

Timis County Council entered as a shareholder in a company in 2003, called Inter Center Service Ltd, to modernize and develop "International" hotel on order to increase its level to a five-star hotel.

Currently, Timis County Council holds 45.62% of the total social capital of the company, being the minority shareholder.

The present "International" hotel will be expanded with a P+6 level building, modernized and included in the new architectural ensemble.. "Hilton" will be the first international operator in Timisoara that will open a five star hotel with 160 rooms.

The investment will be recovered within ten years after opening, and the profit will return to Timis County Council from the eleventh year of ownership (year 2024). The hotel would be formally inaugurated in 2013 and the management will be provided by "Hilton".
