Modern flood warning system, functional in Timis river basin

The inhabitants in along Timis river will be protected better from potential flooding, being warned faster and in more accessible terms about the floods evolution, after implementing a performing and easy to use system.
The system is called FLIWAS and is a cooperation among "Romanian Water" company and some Dutch companies. The system was implemented on an area of 47 km and had the total costs 160.000 euro, EU funding obtained by the Dutch partners.
