Baile Herculane Spa resort need 30 M Euro investment

Băile Herculane Spa resort situated in Caras-Severin County requires about 30 M Euro for the implementation of all projects envisaged by local authorities.

Some of the rehabilitation projects will be in the following fields: tourism, the transport infrastructure and water and sewage network. The hotels in Baile Herculane owned in the past by (former spa resort state company and the national union association in Romania) are now in the property of Hercules Argirom Group and SC Sind România SRL.

Băile Herculane City Hall planned for this year a total investment of 8,4 million Euro, in road rehabilitation, rehabilitation of water and sewage network the construction of a kindergarten and a nursery, a sport hall and some block of flats with social apartments

Nevertheless, Mrs. Elena Udrea - Tourism and Regional Development Ministry, declared during the Romania Tourism Fair that will support the launching of a new pilot - project for the rehabilitation of Baile Herculane resort and recovering of the old image of the spa as once known. Herculane city has in present 5300 inhabitants.
