Tourism Development in Berzasca, Caras-Severin County

One of the projects submitted for EU financing provides the rehabilitation of the old route of "Mocăniţa" (small capacity train used in the mountain area) for tourism purposes. The old train was used to transport logs on the route Berzasca to Orsova in Caras-Severin County.
The railway network will be rehabilitated on a distance of 20 km and the train will be equipped with summer and winter railway cars. At the end of the line it will be created a holiday village. The total investment in this project is 12 million euro.
