Human Development Report 2009: good education in Romania, but poor heath care

In terms of health care, Romania is 17 places worse than average, according to Human Development Report, document published by the United Nations Development Program and includes 182 UNO member countries. The report shows that Romania has the lowest development index among EU countries.Romania presents the same development structure as Bulgaria, Poland and Hungary.

Specifically, there is a high level of education, but health status is poor, being at the limit of the average-developed and developed. Romania has maximum similarity with Bulgaria in terms of development profile and with Poland regarding the migration profile.
