Switzerland approved a grant for Romania

Swiss Parliament approved the framework credit for Romania, representing a grant worth approximately 120 million euro, according to a press release of the Romanian Minister of Public Finance.

"The areas eligible to be funded from this contribution are security, stability and support for reforms, environment and infrastructure, private sector promotion, social and human resources development," explains the above mentioned document.

The funding commitment period is five years from the date of the approval and the effective payment period will be ten years. The document will be signed in the first half of 2010. The Minister of Public Finance is the national coordinator of Swiss financial assistance granted to Romania.
