Funding opportunities for research and innovation within Horizon2020 - SME Instrument - May 19th 2015, Timisoara, West Regional Development Agency, Timisoara

West Regional Development Agency (RDA West) and its partners within the Ro-Boost SMEs consortium - South - West Regional Development Agency, Tehimpuls - The Regional Innovation and Technology Transfer Centre, Arad Development Centre and Craiova University - implement starting January 1st, 2015 the project - "Boosting Smart and Innovation-Driven Growth for Romanian SMEs".

The Regional Ro-Boost SMEs consortium is a partner of Enterprise Europe Network and its objective is to develop a support structure for SMEs in the two regions, West and South - West, through which it will provide an integrated set of information, support services and consultancy in order to help SMEs to exploit European business development opportunities.

In this context, Tehimpuls is organising an information event on funding opportunities for research and innovation within Horizon2020, with focus on the SME Instrument and the InnovFin Instrument - EU Finance for Innovators, an initiative of the European Investment Bank. The event targets companies from West Region Romania which can apply for funding under this specific instruments.

The event will take place at the West Regional Development Agency in Timisoara, West Region, Romania on May 19th, 2015.

Within the SME Instrument, the European Union is funding the most innovative small businesses that have high growth potential. The instrument, which has a budget of about 3 billion euros for a period of 7 years, provides grants for feasibility studies in entrepreneurial innovation (phase I) and for demonstration projects (phase 2). Moreover, the concepts which are mature enough to attract investment may benefit of business development counseling and other type of support services (phase 3). In addition, the European Commission and the European Investment Bank Group joined forces to encourage banks and other financial intermediaries to provide capital to innovative businesses through the InnovFin Instrument - EU Finance for Innovators.
