Support from the World Bank to prepare the new programming period 2014 - 2020

In the preparation of the institutional and planning mechanisms for the new financial period 2014 - 2020, West Regional Development Agency (West RDA) organizes Wednesday, November 6, 2013, together with the World Bank a consultation seminar dedicated to local public authorities and the private sector in West Region (grant beneficiaries). The meeting will take place at the West Regional Development Agency.

The meeting takes place due to the assistance contract initiated by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration who contracted the World Bank to conduct studies and analyzes that will generate proposals for the next funding period.

The event will be held in the Council Room of West RDA starting 10:00 in the presence of Mr. Sorin Maxim - General Director of West RDA - and representatives of the World Bank - Mr. Sebastian BURDUJA and Mr. Marcel Ionescu-HEROIU.

The event in Timisoara is part of a series of similar events in all development regions of Romania for giving opportunity to all those who have access grants and those who intend to do so in the new programming period, to bring solutions for improving the process of allocation and management of funds in order to ensure a high absorption rate.

The documents constituting the debate are five studies conducted by the World Bank at the request of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration, with the following themes:

  • Identifying project selection models for the Regional Operational Programme 2014 - 2020
  • Growth Poles - Next Phase
  • Competitive Cities - Solutions for sustainable and inclusive growth of Romania
  • The support of the Managing Authority / Intermediary Bodies provided to applicants and beneficiaries of the Regional Operational Programme
  • Collaboration and communication between the Managing Authority and Intermediary Bodies under the Regional Operational Programme.

The five studies will be available on the website of West RDA, www.adrvest.ro, 2014 - 2020 Planning  Section, after completing the consultations  - the final proposal being submitted to the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration.
