The integration of the West Region into the common European market is facilitated by the two Pan-European Transport Corridors crossing the region.
Pan-European Corridor IV:
a. the northern route: Dresda\Nürnberg - Prague - Brno - Bratislava - Budapest - (Arad -) Bucharest - Constanta
b. the southern route: Dresda\Nürnberg - Prague - Brno - Bratislava - Budapest - (Arad -) Sofia - Istanbul\Salonika
Pan-European Corridor VII: Vienna - Bratislava - Budapest - Belgrade - (Old Moldavia) - the Black Sea
