Timisoara is the world leader in terms of internet connection speed, according to the study "Net Index" made by the broadband test company "Ookla".
For the first time in the history of telecommunications, Timisoara is the world capital of broadband Internet connections. The site, www.netindex.com, lists Timisoara on the first position in the global ranking of cities.
Timisoara is the first in the world, with a download speed of 90.41 Mbps, nearly double as the next ranked city, Vilnius, 53.31 Mbps.
