Innovative Enterprise - Financing Ideas from Europe Conference & Brokerage Event, 31 March - 1 April, 2016, Hague, The Netherlands

On 31 March and 1 April 2016, The Hague will be the meeting place for innovative enterprise, financial intermediaries, policy makers, researchers and investors.

The conference Innovative Enterprise: Financing Ideas from Europe is organised by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, the Ministry of Economic Affairs in the Netherlands, the European Investment Bank and the European Investment Fund. It forms part of the Horizon 2020 work programme Access to Risk Finance and is associated with the Netherlands Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

Europe needs to provide and improve access to risk finance and diversify the sources of financing available, so that entrepreneurs can capitalise on business opportunities while addressing societal challenges. Innovative Enterprise is an initiative by the European Commission to raise awareness of the European Union's investment programme, such as InnovFin and the European Fund for Strategic Investments, instruments at national and local level as well as alternative sources of finance, such as crowd funding.

The Innovative Enterprise - Financing Ideas from Europe conference will be opened by the Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs Henk Kamp and key note speakers Carlos Moedas (Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation), Pim van Ballekeom (Vice President European Investment Bank) and Corinne Vigreux (Co-founder and Consumer Business Managing Director, TomTom). We are proud to be able to offer you a rich programme with some twenty plenary and parallel sessions.

In some of the sessions you will learn about the EU's financial products for innovation and entrepreneurship and how these work together with other regional and national public and private instruments. In others you will discuss with experts how to improve the framework conditions for financing in Europe. Practical information will be offered on which finance is available and suitable, depending on whether you are a start-up, scale-up, mid-cap or large company.

During the conference Innovative Enterprise: Financing Ideas from Europe the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN),  Holland Fintech and in cooperation with West Regional Development Agency Romania will organise an international matchmaking event. Companies will meet potential business or investment partners in person. EEN will schedule one-to-one meetings for you and help you prepare for them.
