A Korean company would like to develop in Romania a factory of auto parts, tires and airbags, an investment of 150 million dollars

A company from South Korea intends to invest about 150 million dollars in Romania in a factory of auto parts, tires and airbags. The investment could be launched in the near future, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Business.

The project was discussed by the board of Hyosung Corporation with the Delegate Minister for business, Lucian Isar, at the Industrial Cooperation Romania - Korea committee.

Hyosung is an industrial corporation listed in Seoul, with a market capitalization of around 1.2 billion Euro and operates in the following sectors: textiles, industrial materials, chemical industry, heavy industry, construction, trading of chemicals and steel, automobile import and financial services. The company is known as the producer of Hyosung motorcycles, but the business was sold in 2007 to S & T Motors, also from Korea.
