The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provides loans of 10 million euro for SMEs that invest in energy efficiency

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) provides a new funding of 10 million euro to UniCredit Tiriac Bank, in order to lend the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects of small scale.

Until now, the EBRD has invested in Romania about 6.3 billion euro and mobilized from other sources over 13 billion euro for these projects. Since the launch of the EBRD's Sustainable Energy Initiative in 2006, the Bank granted Romania over 645 million euro for investments in sustainable energy projects with a total value of about 3.9 billion euro.
