Funding for the automotive and machine construction sectors in the West Region

West Regional Development Agency (West RDA) submitted for funding, together with the partners in the Automotivest  Association  , an integrated package of projects related to the development of the automotive and machine construction in the West Region. The applicant for funding is the Regional Cluster, Automotivest Association in which West RDA acts as a facilitator and coordinator.

The total value of theintegrated package is 30.806.733 million lei - representing more than 7 million Euro - and 17.015.833 million lei - about 4 million Euro - is the grant.

Among the most important estimated results of implementing this integrated package of projects are: to develop a competence center for design, testing, prototyping and simulation in engineering and a research on the possibility of achieving energy conservation using thermoelectric generators in the auto industry.

The package submitted ​​by West RDA has 6 projects and aims to increase the competitiveness of machine construction in the West Region by creating products, added value and innovation.

The 6 projects are:  investment projects, research projects or projects aiming to develop the human resources and to improve the functioning of the Automotivest Association in terms of management and administrative organization.

Automotivest is the first automotive cluster of the West Region Romania  (Timis, Arad, Caras-Severin, Hunedoara), coordinated by the West Regional Development Agency , non governmental body of public utility, in charge of the economic development of West Region Romania.

Automotivest is the first automotive cluster established in Romania (2007) with the mission of supporting its members - automotive and machine-building companies - to increase their market competitveness.
