West Region transport and mobility is supported with European funds

West Regional Development Agency announced that on 03.08.2012 started the project "Supporting the planning activity  in  West Region elaborating sectorial analyses - Regional study of transport and mobility " funded under the Technical Assistance Operational Program (OPTA) - Technical Assistance Facility.

The project is financed at 100% from European grants through the Operational Program of Technical Assistance with a total value of 207.400 lei without VAT. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs selected the company European Consultants Organisation (ECO) to elaborate this study.

West RDA implements the project "Supporting the planning activity  in  West Region elaborating sectorial analyses - Regional study of transport and mobility " in West Region Romania over a period of time of 15 weeks. The project wants to develop a strategic action tool in the field of mobility and transport in order to guide the planning and programming process for the period over the year 2013. This project will elaborate a Strategy regarding mobility and transport in West Region Romania, that will be part of 2014-2020 Regional Development Plan.

The project "Supporting the planning activity  in  West Region elaborating sectorial analyses - Regional study of transport and mobility " will analyze the transport system with all its elements: car, train, air, sea transport. Moreover, the project proposes to follow the transport system through the interconectivity part. This will maximize the positive impact on economic growth, minimizing the negative impact on environment, because the investments in infrastructure lead to economic growth, create jobs and favour geographic proximity, trade and people mobility.
