EUROPEAN BROADBAND CONFERENCE, Nevers, 25 September 2012

Niverlan will organize the launch conference of the European project ENGAGE, with the support of the Nièvre County Council and the Metropolitan district of Nevers. There will be focus on particular business models for investment in next generation access networks, with presentations of commercial, financial, technical and regulatory good practices. The aim is to transfer best local practices across our regions to accelerate and maximize future investments.

ENGAGE "Enhancing Next Generation Access Growth in Europe"

The objective of the project is to help its 12 public partners define the best economic model for developing Very High Speed Broadband infrastructures in less populated regions. Following three years of training, staff exchanges and study visits and the creation of a cutting edge experts' network, there will be made a series of recommendations to national and regional authorities and the European Commission, to assist them in making enhanced and more focused investments in High Speed Broadband in our territories.

The INTERREG IVC programme

The aim of INTERREG IVC, or the "European territorial cooperation" programme, is to promote cooperation between European regions and develop common solutions in the fields of economic development and environmental management and is financed via the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). Its primary objective is to improve the efficiency of regional development policies and instruments through a structured and wide off ranging programme of exchange of information and experience itself.
