State Funds for SMEs in 2015

Romania's Government has released 15 million lei to fund seven national programs designed to develop SMEs, representing the second tranche for the national programs financed by the state budget dedicated to SMEs. In March 2015 the Government signed another memorandum that unblocked 10 million lei for funding national programs.

The programs that will be launched in 2015 for young entrepreneurs are:

  • SRL-D Programme - Limited Liability Company - Debutant - offers a grant up to 10.000Euro for the first business established; •
  • START Programme - to develop entrepreneurial skills among young people - offers a grant of maximum 125.000 lei to young entrepreneurs who want to develop their small businesses; ·
  • UNCTAD / EMPRETEC Romania Programme; •Women Manager Programme;
  • INCUBATORS Programme - the establishment and development of business technologies;
  • COMMERCE Programme - the development and modernization of products and services commercialization;
  • The National Multiannual Programme for Supporting Crafts;
  • IMPACT-Start-up Programme - Start-ups can apply to grants provided by IMPACT Accelerator who is offering to European SMEs and entrepreneurs active in the online environment the opportunity to develop innovative businesses on Internet Mobile using FIWARE technology. There will be three stages in the selection process. Finally, 64 start-ups will receive a grant worth 100,000 euro.
