On what place does Romania ranks regarding innovation. Which is the most innovative country in the world

Romania ranks 48 in a ranking of innovation that includes 142 countries. The ranking was conducted by the Cornell University in the U.S., the French management school, INSEAD and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

The ranking is led by Switzerland. The top five of innovation this year is composed, besides Switzerland, of Sweden (unchanged place), United Kingdom (moved up two positions from 2012), the Netherlands (plus two positions) and the U.S. (plus five positions).

This ranking, which includes 142 countries, was conducted with 84 indicators, taking into account the quality of the main universities, the opportunity of microfinance and the number of companies funded by venture capital.
