A new heating plant in Resita

A new thermal power based on renewable energy is emerging in Resita. Recently, the local councilors approved to give nearly two hectares of land for the plant construction, in Valea Ţerovei, near Aglomerator.

The project of building a biomass plant was drafted more than three years ago and one of the fervent supporters of the plant was the councilor Mr. Tiberiu Pădurean who was for five years the Vice-mayor of Resita. To complete the project, the Local Council has set up a company, Group Ecoterm, which subsequently sold it to Menert Slovak society. The Slovak company will start building the plant this year.
